LIBRARIAN: -
1) A Master‘s degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
2) A consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of a library.
3) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M. Phil. / Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be.
Provided that, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009,
shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances / Bye-laws / Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/ SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:
a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode only;
b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two examiners;
c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal; and
e) The candidate has presented at least two papers, based on his/her Ph.D. work in
conferences/seminars, sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/CSIR/ICSSR or any similar agency.

Qualification for the post of Librarian for Pharmacy Institute.
Qualification:
(1) Master degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an
equivalent professional degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of 55% marks where grading system is practiced and a consistently good academic record with knowledge on computerization of library.
(2) Qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or other accredited test like SLET/SET in Library Science conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
(3) Holders of Ph.D. degree as on the date of Notification of these Regulations along with those candidate who are awarded a Ph. D. degree through a process of admission, registration, course work and external evaluation as laid down in the UGC (Minimum Standards and procedure for award of M.Phil /Ph.D. Degree.) Regulations, 2009 and so adopted by the university shall be
exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
(4) NET can be relaxed for candidate having 1st class Master of Library Science/ information science / Documentation science.
General Conditions:-
1. Service Conditions and other rules will be as prescribed by the AICTE State Govt. and Kavayatri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon
2. The Original Certificates must be produced at the time of interview.
3. Candidates already employed must submit their applications through proper channel.
4. 30% Reservation for Women shall be observed as per Government norms.
5. 4% reservation for persons with disabilities as per G.R. dated 29.05.2019 shall be observed.
