CEPT University is seeking to appoint Library Assistant, at CEPT Library. The position is on full time basis and is for a fixed term contract of 3 years, extendable by mutual agreement.
CEPT Library Services are responsible for the maintenance of the Lilavati Lalbhai Library and all of the resources it contains. It also supports faculty members and students in enriching the teaching, learning and research experience at the University.
We are looking for an experienced or a fresh graduate candidate in library science, who can assist and work collaboratively in our library Team. The position reports to Head – Library Services.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide library services to all users at CEPT Uni library.To help users find right books/ materials.Manage the front desk, registering new users, collecting and managing fines.Registering new arrival books with proper index and shelving books according to their categorization.Knowledge of operating KOHA and D-Space.Organising the repairs of damaged books.Managing inquiries over the counter and via email or telephone.Assisting with library events\exhibitions\seminars and reading sessions.Cataloguing audio-visual material and other mediums.To help maintaining decorum in the library.Manage internal and external correspondence.

Bachelors and/or Master Degree in Library Science.
Experince/Skills Requirement:

1 or 2 years of work experience in relevant field will be preferred, however, freshers can also apply.Exceptional written and oral English communication is essential.Easily adaptable and good at team work skills are required.
