1) Deputy Librarian
The CSDS library is a research library, primarily used by members of the Faculty and Staff of CSDS. We are looking for a Deputy Librarian to lead a team of library staff to build and maintain the Centre’s collection of books and multimedia resources. Ability to generate and maintain an archival collection of documents, media resources and online collections of the Centre would be highly appreciated.
Relevant educational qualification, work experience and other eligibility criteria for the post are:
Essential Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Library Science from a recognized university.
• Evidence of innovative library service and familiarity with computerization of library.
• At least five years work experience as Assistant Librarian with proven capabilities.
Desirable Qualifications:
• M.Phil. Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation/ Archives and Manuscript keeping.
• Seven years work experience as Assistant/Deputy Librarian with evidence of professional commitment.
• Knowledge of Libsys and Koha software.
No. of Posts: 1
Age Limit: 50 years. Age limit may be relaxed in the case of exceptional candidates.
Pay Band: 37,400-67,000 with grade pay of 9,000.
4) Documentation Officer
We are looking for dynamic candidates who are interested in working in a stimulating academic environment to build the library and archival resources of the Centre. Familiarity with multimedia research environments would be highly appreciated.
The qualifications and eligibility criteria for the position is as follows:
Essential Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from a recognized university.
• Experience in documentation or working in a Library for at least 3 years.
• Computer proficiency.

Age Limit: 40 years. Age limit be relaxed in the case of exceptional candidates.
Pay Band: 9,300-34,800 with grade pay of 4,600.
